SUMMER DAY CAMP 2013
JUMP INTO FUN

REGISTRATION BEGINS MARCH 18.
The Jackson YMCA is an amazing place for kids to spend their summer. Kids have the opportunity to explore, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, confidence, build character, make lasting friendships, and memories. And of course, it’s FUN!
DAY CAMP
Day Camp is offer to ages 4-14, Campers will be grouped in the following age groups (age on September 1st):
Kiddie Camp: Ages 4-5
Pathfinders: Ages 6-7
Adventurers: Ages 8-9
Explorers: Ages 10-11
Trailblazers: Ages 12-14
Click Here for more information on each of these groups. Day Camp drop off is from 8:30am-9am and pick up is between 4:30-5pm. Extended hours are available for $10 more a week from 7am-6pm.
COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT)
Allows teens ages 14-15 to develop valuable job skills while serving as assistants to summer camp counselors. CIT’s must apply for the program prior to May 13th and complete an interview process.
1/2 DAY MORNING SPORTS CAMPS
1/2 Day Morning Sports Camps will focus on the sport of the week. Campers will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the program in a supportive and caring atmosphere. A snack will be provided. Drop off is from 8:45-9:00 am and pick up is from 12:45-1 pm, if your child is also signed up for an afternoon sports camp will provide them with a lunch and keep them until afternoon camps begin.
1/2 DAY AFTERNOON SPORTS CAMPS
1/2 Day Afternoon Sports Camps will focus on the sport of the week. Campers will learn the fundamentals and refine their skills in exciting drills and games along with some competitive scrimmages. An afternoon snack will be provided. Drop off is from 12:45-1:00 pm and pick up is from 4:45-5:00 pm. Check out this summer’s sports camps in the flyer above.
SPECIALTY CAMPS
Specialty camps provide campers with an opportunity to focus on an area of interest. Whether its horses or cooking we have a specialty camp designed with camper in mind. All specialty camps have limited enrollment so be sure to register right away. Check out this summer’s specialty camps in the flyer above.
Reading Writing Connection Camps
We have partnered with Reading Writing Connection to have an educational morning camp from 9-12:30 at the Y. It is only offered week 6, 7 and 10. If you are interested in this camp please visit their website at: readingwritingconnection.org. We are offering extended hours for participants enrolled in this camp from 12:30-5 and will be offering a half day of fun camp activities. You can register for extended hours at the Y.
