Pool Closing
- The pools close one half hour before the entire building closes
- If thunder or lightning occurs in the area, the pools will close.
Swim Team
The Jackson YMCA Swim Team is a traveling competitive team that competes against other YMCA swim teams throughout lower Michigan. There are teams for each age bracket, though children under eight years of age must be able to swim half the length of the pool without touching the sides or using a flotation device. All practices are held at the Jackson YMCA. Children do not have to attend every practice, but it is recommended that they attend at least 2 practices a week.
General Rules
- Children under the age of 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult
- Lap lanes reserved for lap swimmers and water walkers only
- YMCA programs have priority during school breaks.
