2008 Fall Youth Programs
The Jackson YMCA has several educational programs that provide vital learning skills, fun, curiosity and entertainment for different age groups of children. If you want to augment your toddler’s preschooling or give your home schooled child some assorted and fun options for learning, the YMCA has a program to fit your needs.
Preschool Enrichment
Arts and Crafts – Ages 3 to 5 years
Keeps little hands busy painting and creating while teaching fine motor skills with cutting, drawing and pasting.
- Parents assistance is welcome
Music and Story Time – Ages 3 to 5 years
Introduce young minds to books through stories, rhymes and music.
- Optional bi-monthly concert attended at a local assisted living home
Parents Time-Out – Ages 4 to 5 years
Bring your toddler for games, arts, crafts, music and story time while you take a break and get ready for a weekend without your little ball of sunshine.
- Always held on Fridays
Home School Programs
Gym Games and Fun – Ages 5 to 10 years
Kids have a blast playing many different gym games including volleyball, gymnastics and climbing the rockwall.
Arts and Crafts – Ages 5 to 10 years
Help your child’s creativity flow by enrolling them and letting them paint, build and more.
Swimming – Ages 5 to 10 years
Whether your child is a beginner or experienced swimmer, this program will help them become comfortable with the water or refine their stroke.
