MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

• Annual Rates are also available (monthly Payment times 12 months) and are paid in full at the time of membership sign-up
• Day memberships (“Day Passes”) are also available, but may be subject to hours of restriction. Community (non-members) may only purchase 3 day passes per year. Contact us (link to Contact page) for information.
• Joiners fees are a one-time fee charged at the beginning of a membership. Current members are not assessed the fee if memberships are renewed within 45 days of expiration.
• Monthly payment is directly deducted from either a checking account or savings account, or charged to a credit card.

The YMCA is a volunteer-driven charity. No one will be denied membership or program participation due to a proven inability to pay. If you would like to apply for financial assistance, please complete the application and return it to the YMCA along with all required proof of income/dependency. Children in the Building

The Jackson YMCA has many childrens programs in the building. Please be aware of the following rules:

Exceptions: Afterschool Adventure, Day Camp and Swim Team – Parents must sign children in and out

Guest Passes (commonly referred to as “Day Passes”)

All guests must provide photo identification and register at the Member Services Counter. Guess Passes (Day Passes) are limited to 3 visits per person per year. Guest Pass fees are $10.00 per visit per person.

Refunds

Join fees will not be refunded. Refunds will not be given for draft payments made prior to cancellation. All other refunds are issued at the discretion of the Executive Director upon completion of a refund request form. Refunds will be issued with written notification from a physician.
Membership Restrictions Policy
Membership at the Jackson YMCA is a privilege. The safety of our members, employees, volunteers, guests and program participants is a primary concern of the YMCA. Therefore, the Jackson YMCA reserves the right to deny access to the facilities or membership to any person who:
Is a registered sexual offender
Has pled guilty to or been convicted of any crime involving sexual abuse or criminal sexual conduct
Has been convicted of a felony involving violence
Behaves in a manner that threatens the well-being of employees, members and guests
Uses abusive or proface language with an employee, member or guest.
These restrictions apply to YMCA facilities as well as locations where YMCA sponsors or operates programs, activities or events. The YMCA may, at its descretion, amend this policy as needed to protect members, employees, volunteers, and participating guests.

Facility Access
Members are required to show their membership cards for facility access. Lost cards can be replaced for a $5.00 fee. Guests, program spectators and members who lose their cards are required to show a picture ID. Members who lend membership cards to non-members will lose membership privileges without a refund.
Termination of Membership
YMCA memberships do not require contracts and can be canceled at any time. A 15 day written notice must be given to cancel or change any account that is being used (checking, savings, or credit card). Fees associated with closed accounts or insufficient funds will be assessed.
The Jackson YMCA reserves the right to dismiss individuals from the premises who appear to be intoxicated, under the influence of illegal substances, or for any reason deemed necessary for individuals that require an inordinate amount of attention from the YMCA staff. The YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility are to be followed by all. Dismissal from the YMCA for these reasons may result in temporary suspension of membership and/or uses of the YMCA.
AWAY Program (Always Welcome At YMCA’s)
Your membership is Always Welcome at YMCA’s. Each YMCA determines visiting member fees and usage restrictions. When visiting te Jackson YMCA, YMCA members from other communities may use our facility for up to one month with unlimited access. After one month, there will be a $5.00 fee per visit. Members from a Michigan YMCA within 45 miles of Jackson may use the facility for $5.00 per visit.
